SupportThis bill would incorporate the Department of Parks and Recreation into the state’s goals to conserve 30% of lands and coastal waters by 2030. The bill would ensure equitable access to the outdoors for all and specify reporting requirements around the 30x30 goal.
Position Statement
We believe California will not be able to meet its climate goals, including conserving 30 percent of the state's land by 2030, without significantly more investments in state parks. This bill paves the way for a greater involvement for the Department of Parks and Recreation in the 30x30 framework.
