On March 3, 2026, California State Parks Foundation’s Parkside Chats Series webinar explored climate resilience in California’s desert state parks. Parkside Chats is our virtual event series that highlights the people and programs working to protect and strengthen California’s state parks.
We were joined by Natural Resources Park Aide Elizabeth “Levi” Freed, Environmental Scientist Luis DeVera, and District Senior Environmental Scientist Christopher Hon of California State Parks. Together, they shared insights on the climate challenges facing desert ecosystems, with a focus on Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland State Park.
We were grateful to host this conversation and highlight the important stewardship work helping protect California’s desert landscapes.
