RFP - Strategic Planning

California State Parks Foundation is seeking a consultant to provide the following services:  

  • Work with a small strategic planning team (~8-10 senior staff and board members, plus engaging additional stakeholders like key partners, funders, and others as identified to provide input) to articulate a clear strategic plan for the next three fiscal years (2024 – 2027).  

  • At its core, the plan should align with our mission to protect and preserve the California state park system, for the benefit of all. 

Program Manager – Climate Resilience

The Program Manager is responsible for the development and management of model projects and initiatives that build resiliency to climate change in California state parks. These programs will advance equitable policies and funding and support inclusive and effective constituencies that build climate resilience and leadership.  

Operations Assistant – Hybrid

The Operations Assistant supports the Finance and Operations team by assisting with a variety of tasks, including sorting routine mail, coordinating with vendors and consultants, and supporting board and organization wide event logistics. The Operations Assistant also assists with our membership operations, from conducting data entry and processing payments to responding to member/donor issues and inquiries.  

The Operations Assistant will work on-site at our Bay Area location 4 days a week, with some travel required.  

Major Gifts Officer - Remote

The Major Gifts Officer (Sothern California Region) is responsible for the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of donors capable of making major gifts of $10,000 and up to power California State Parks Foundation’s efforts in protecting and preserving California state parks. This position will build an effective prospect management system to manage donors and help raise funds to have an impact on our goals of Climate Resiliency, Equitable Access, Protecting Wildlife and Nature, Honoring History and Culture, Park Experiences, and Park Funding.  

Development Associate

The Development Associate is a critical team member that supports the execution of the development team’s strategy and goals to inspire renewed, upgraded, and new funding from major individual and institutional donors. This role aligns with California State Parks Foundation’s mission by providing administrative support to raise resources to fund parks, build climate resiliency, expand access to parks, enhance visitor experience, preserve history and culture, and protect wildlife and nature.
