Operations Assistant – Hybrid

The Operations Assistant supports the Finance and Operations team by assisting with a variety of tasks, including sorting routine mail, coordinating with vendors and consultants, and supporting board and organization wide event logistics. The Operations Assistant also assists with our membership operations, from conducting data entry and processing payments to responding to member/donor issues and inquiries.  

The Operations Assistant will work on-site at our Bay Area location 4 days a week, with some travel required.

Title: Operations Assistant 

Location: San Francisco, CA 

Job type: Full-time (37.5-hour workweek), non-exempt, overtime eligible 

Compensation: $27/hr

  • Respond to routine member/donor issues & inquiries by letter, phone, & email 

  • Assist with membership benefits & donor acknowledgement letters 

  • Assist with balancing daily accounts, processing in-house transactions, & Salesforce data entry  

  • Assist with sorting and processing mail & preparing in-house check payments 

  • Assist with scanning, filing, & storage of donor records  

  • Process Expensify charges, ensuring accurate coding & receipts 

  • Coordinate with IT consultants to resolve staff & office technology issues 

  • Assist with board meeting & organization-wide event logistics 

  • Manage & track airline travel vouchers for staff & board travel needs 

  • Assist in day-to-day office management, including coordinating with building managers to facilitate office access & managing office inventories 

  • Other duties as assigned 



  • Ability to work both independently & collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-task team environment  

  • Data entry experience preferred  

  • Salesforce experience preferred 

  • Customer service experience preferred 

  • Extremely organized with exceptional attention to detail  

  • Strong written & oral communication skills  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
