Grants of up to $7,500 are awarded. Due to the competitive nature of grant funding, grants may be awarded for less than the amount requested.
A Park Enrichment Grant applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Organizations may only submit one application per round for consideration.
Grants are awarded twice year. The deadline to submit grant applications and notifications for 2016:

Include a project or program budget (Download sample Excel template).
Include a letter of support from the park’s California Department of Parks and Recreation District or Sector Superintendent. If a facility improvement project, the letter of support by California Department of Parks and Recreation also requires support of the project timeline. (A letter is not required if the grant request is for organizational capacity building or if the state park is not operated by California Department of Parks and Recreation).
We cultivate stewardship of state parks by hosting and funding a range of volunteer and educational programs aimed to support state parks.
We work to ensure that state parks in significant need of repair or restoration are taken care of, both from volunteer programs and capital campaigns.
We give direct support to state parks by offering a series of competitive grants to state park units, qualified nonprofits, government entities, and partners of state parks.
