The California Department of Parks and Recreation Marin Sector is expanding its work to connect more stewards to the outdoors through the Healthy Parks Healthy People program. In partnership with Latino Outdoors, the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, and guest speakers are hosting ranger and bilingual docent-led hikes and educational activities in Spanish. In addition, free transportation will be provided to participants to remove that barrier to visitation.

"What's most inspiring about the Healthy Parks Healthy People program is that it allows individuals and families who, for different reasons, had never had the chance to experience local state parks to feel at home in them; it helps people in feeling inter-connected with nature, with the parks, and with who works for the parks."
