WBBC Profiles: Tam Bikes

The World’s Best Bike Commute is reviewing the bike shops along the route that keep the WBBC running smooth and safe. A couple weeks ago the WBBC mentioned the Roaring Mouse bike shop’s move to Crissy Field. Now it is Tam Bikes’ turn. Located on Miller Avenue in Mill Valley, this all-purpose bike shop is owned and managed by Bryce and Quoc (a third, silent partner also exists). Although they specialize in everything mountain bikes (they are at the foot of Mt. Tamalpais, after all), the WBBC often visits this friendly shop for the repair of busted spokes, tune-ups, and general advice. Plus, it is just a fun place to hang out. You can chat with the owners and the affable employees, or watch bikes being repaired at the back of the store. They even have a well used-couch and a TV so you can kick back and watch bike shows! Lots of young kids also hang out around the store, and Tam Bikes runs a summer biking program for kids. All good stuff! Watch the video and check out Tam Bikes in their own words. You can also check them out online.
