To be a core volunteer, a certain minimum level of volunteer engagement is in order to be successful.
Core volunteers will attend a 4-6 hour training session, participate in planning activities and be able to participate in the quarterly volunteer work days.
The training session will give employees a chance to build on their planning, leadership and project management skills by preparing them to develop work-plans,
recruit volunteers, schedule work days or assess resources.
Crew leaders will participate in 1-2 training sessions that will prepare them to lead other
volunteers to accomplish the tasks identified for the volunteer work days. Crew leader trainings will focus on team motivational skills and project
specific skills needed to manage untrained volunteer crews.
