Funding for the "Catch a Special Thrill" kids fishing program for disabled and disadvantaged youth at Lake Perris State Recreation Area. 

The Conifer Classroom

Funding towards educational resources for teachers, park docents, and park staff about coniferous forests. 

Gravity Barn Interpretive Panel Installation

Funding to for educational/interpretation panels at the Gravity Barn restoration site. 
Interpretive Panel Project at Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Gardens

Design and installation of educational panels located inside Benicia SRA. 

Value Added Program
Organization: Patrick's Point State Park and the North Coast Redwood Interpretive Association

Funding will help pay for materials and supplies needed for students and volunteers for interpretive programs at the park, including jewelry making for Living History days, redwood for canoe building, and other field trip activities.

Funding to create a free downloadable audio guide for visitors to use on two-day hikes at Mt. Diablo State Parks.  

Kayak Programs for Sea and River
Organization: Salton Sea State Recreation Area
Funding to purchase kayak equipment and trailer to run a permanent kayaking program for schools and the public. 

Marine Mammal Interpretation Project
Organization: Refugio Jr. Lifeguard Program

Funds to purchase 9 marine mammal skull replicas to enhance the    marine mammal education programs within the sector. 

State Park Wildlife & Environmental Outreach Educational Presentations

Funding for the program that brings exotic birds, mammals and reptiles into park settings to inform the public about environmental issues.

Human-Bear Management Program

Brochures have been created to teach visitors about bear management.  Funding is now being requested for paint ball guns and wrist rockets to deter bears from coming into the recreation areas.

Nature Returns to the City

Funding for programming that educates children about their local urban states parks.  This includes a new “weather station” at LASHP, which explores weather patterns and climate change and the “virtual campfire” program.

Telescope Replacement Project

Organization: Lake Oroville State Recreation Area Visitor Center

Funding to replace original telescopes for viewing at visitor center.  Telescopes are used for the  general public and school groups.

Save Captain Fletcher's Inn

Funding for restoration work on Captain Fletcher’s Inn.

Restoration of historic building at Columbia SHP to be used for concessions (restaurant in park) and interpretation.   

CBT Trails Crew Trailer

Purchase of trailer to store equipment for trail clean-up efforts by volunteers in order to re-energize volunteer trail crew to assist staff with maintaining and improving the 20 miles of trails within the park. 

Chaw’se Media Center and Volunteer Enhancement Project

Replacement of outdated media center equipment and tables to improve presentations for visitors and volunteer training programs.   

Feasibility Study for Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta National Heritage Area, Phase 1

Funding for a feasibility study on the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, to build a case for National Heritage Area designation.

Geospatial Data Development
