KNUDSEN AND CALIFORNIA STATE PARKS LAUNCH "PURE PARTNERSHIP FOR OUR PARKS"

Consumers can help Knudsen donate $100,000 to California State Parks Foundation

Tulare, Calif. (June 15, 2009) – From majestic redwood forests in the north to sandy surfing beaches in the south, California has the largest and most diverse collection of beautiful state parks in the nation. Now Knudsen – California's favorite sour cream and cottage cheese – is partnering with California State Parks and California State Parks Foundation to create the Knudsen Pure Partnership for Our Parks.   For every Knudsen product sold June 14 through Sept. 6 in California, Knudsen will donate a portion of the proceeds to the California State Parks Foundation (up to $100,000).

"Knudsen has been made and sold in California for 90 years, and we're excited to team up with our neighbors to support California's state parks," said Noel Talluto, Knudsen senior brand manager.  "We look forward to helping our parks during these challenging times."

Californians interested in lending their time and skills to a local state park can also find year-round family-friendly volunteer opportunities at Knudsen.com.  Opportunities range from helping conserve natural habitats to guiding group tours.

"California's state parks include some of the most scenic beaches, mountains, meadows and deserts anywhere on earth," says Ruth Coleman, director of the California State Parks.  "We hope that residents will support the Knudsen Pure Partnership for Our Parks because it's an opportunity to give back to our treasured state parks."
