The Barkley Fund supported an important wetlands restoration at Yosemite Slough in Candlestick Point Recreation Area. The project created seven new areas of tidal wetlands, enabling the restoration of wildlife habitats, the improvement of water quality, and the prevention of erosion along the shoreline of the City of San Francisco. |
The S. D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation is dedicated to advancing a productive, vibrant, and sustainable California. The Foundation’s grant programs focus on two primary efforts: preparing California’s children and youth to contribute to the state’s economy and communities, and advancing management of California’s water and land resources. The Foundation has been supporting California’s state parks as part of its effort to strengthen land stewardship in urban and rural communities. |

When 70 of our state parks were threatened with closure in 2012, the Thomas J. Long Foundation provided financial support to help those parks in crisis. CSPF salutes the Long Foundation for answering the call of parks during their hour of need. |
The Packard Summer Enrichment Program has helped stem the "summer learning gap" by providing an outdoor educational experience – in state parks and at state beaches – to more than 4,500 underserved youth from ten of California’s densest urban areas since 2009. |

When 70 state parks were threatened with closure during the summer of 2012, AAA of Northern California generously donated $5 to CSPF each time someone requested an online insurance quote, totaling at a donation of more than $80,000 to help keep parks open. |
