Earth Day

Thank you for celebrating our Earth and state parks

On Saturday, April 13 we teamed up with local partners across the state to mobilize 2,083 Californians in celebration of Earth Day! Thanks to the legislators, community leaders and families who turned out for volunteer workdays and community open houses at 20 different state parks stretching from north to south, we were able to…

  • Plant 1,037native trees, shrubs and plants
  • Remove 677 cubic yards of non-native vegetation
  • Collect 188 bags of trash and recycling
  • Build, repair and improve many park structures and more
  • And meet the generous $50,000 match from United Airlines with your gifts!

On a single day, we made an enormous impact on state parks and the millions of Californians who use them. We couldn’t have done it without you!
