Our 2017 Earth Day of action provided an opportunity for all of us to do something meaningful for our planet by giving back to the state parks in our communities. Across California, more than 3,000 volunteers helped restore and clean up 40 state parks, in partnership with nearly 30 park nonprofits and communication organization.
Over the past 19 years, more than 85,000 participants have given more than 350,000 hours to build bridges, split rail fences and boardwalks; conduct river, lake and beach cleanups; restore trails and habitats with native plants; and install recycling bins and irrigation systems. These accomplishments would not be possible without the support of our members, park users, dedicated community volunteers and our corporate sponsors, whose generous contributions provide the funding and in-kind support needed to achieve the program’s goals.
Registration is open! Select a park near you for project details, start times, directions, and contact information. This section will be updated regularly as more information becomes available.
Note: If you wish to volunteer at Coast Dairies State Park/Panther State Beach, Natural Bridges State Park, Asilomar State Beach, or Carmel River State Beach, please register with Save Our Shores.
Please download and sign this waiver and bring it with you to the event. If you're registering a group, be sure everyone brings their own copy.
